Hidden Treasures

Written by: Erika Komori

I was not blessed with the crafty gene. Occasional scrapbooking is the extent of my artistic abilities. Consequently, I’m always impressed when I see others showcase their work! Whenever I’m traveling, I always make sure to visit a market in order to see what the local artisans have created!

During a recent trip to the CNE, I spent considerable time perusing the many products at the Arts, Crafts & Hobbies Pavilion. The diverse offerings of the vendors made for a wonderful visit!

You can create your own lip balm, find glass sculptures, customize air brushed designs, make a coat of arms and personalize decorative name cards! There are also countless jewelry and leather goods to be found! If you get hungry while shopping, the fudge and gourmet lollipops are quite tempting! The distinctive smell of lavender is also present and I couldn’t resist picking up some as a gift for my Grandma!

Be sure to visit these booths to find your very own hidden treasure from the CNE!

The Arts, Crafts & Hobbies Pavilion is open daily from 10am – 10pm and can be found in the Queen Elizabeth Building.
